Bride get ready @ Pasadena Westin & Photo Session @ Pasadena Civic center

Here is a short highlight clip of how we mix the clips from the getting ready and the photo session.

Jennifer and Dave's wedding started in Pasadena Westin, then they took some photos at the Civic center right across from the hotel. Ceremony and reception are held at 2 other locations (Oneonta Congregational church and King Hua Seafood Restaurant) which is covered in the long version of the highlight.

The Langham, Pasadena

Gigi and Leslie's wedding is a combination of the Chinese and Western culture. Besides the western ceremony and reception, we were also able to capture the special tea ceremony and the door games that made this wedding memorable.
The wedding decor and florals are absolutely stunning and we had a couple wonderful shots at the always beautiful Japanese Garden in Pasadena's Langham Hotel. Totally gorgeous and a super sweet couple!

Strawberry Farm, Irvine

Strawberry farms, what an interesting place to hold your wedding!

I lived in Irvine for many years and passed by strawberry farms for no less than a hundred times; however, I never knew it's a fun place for wedding.

Finally, I had the privilege of shooting this beautiful wedding awhile back. The ceremony was held outdoor on the greens with mountain view while the reception was held inside of the big red barn. Along with the colorful Bouquets and the cowboy boots, the couple are so much fun and energetic, their wedding was one of the most stress free events I’ve been a part of.

Tivoli-Too, Laguna Beach

It's now October and LA's weather finally cooled down a bit.

On Oct 9th, we got a case in Laguna Beach, the city where my wife and I got married! Laguna Beach is a pretty city known for its miles of clean sandy beaches, working artists, annual festivals, and a top rated TV show! =)

The wedding ceremony was held at St. Catherine of Siena in Laguna Beach, a quaint church on the hill with amazing ocean views.

Although there are a lot of restrictions in this church and videographers are not allowed at the center aisle which forced me to only take the side view of the couple, the church is indeed really classy with a lot of locations where you can get amazing photo shoots.

The reception was held in TivoLi Too, an unique event location where you might have passed by many times if you get to Laguna Beach by taking hwy 133. This location can be used for both ceremony as well as reception as it has a large garden where you can set up an arch and seats if you are not looking for a traditional ceremony in the church.

With the open bar and great food, this night was quite entertaining and most of the guests had an awesome time.

Universal Hilton

This wedding is for my best friend, George and Cindy, and unlike the traditional Asian style weddings, George and Cindy made their big day a fun party for the wedding party and their family/friends.

The day started in the City Walk where the couple wanted to take photos with the shops and crowds. So, different from most of the weddings we shot where there are green lawns, flowers, mountains, golf course, and ocean, we had a lot of fun capturing the wedding with the buildings and neon lights in the background.

The ceremony and reception were both held in the ballroom in the Hilton, and the grand entrance was led by the awkward dancing moves of the groomsmen and bridesmaids. And of course, we later found out the groomsmen were already taking shots before their entrance!

The reception was mixed with laughter and happy tears, and the friends and family were all there to witness and congratulate the couples on their marriage.

As requested by the couple, this video is done with a faster and more hip style.

Pacific Edge, Laguna Beach

Beach Weddings are not only romantic, but it's also close to nature. The natural beauty of the surroundings will always complement your vows of love to one another.

Pacific Edge Villa is a stunning oceanfront venue on the sand in Laguna Beach, and that's also where I got married.

My wife and I were looking for a location with ocean view, and after going through multiple venues, we chose Pacific Edge because it has a generously sized beachfront deck and it also offers expensive panoramic beach/ocean views which is exactly what I wanted for our wedding.

However, sometimes shooting on the beach can be tricky. The unflattering shadows and sunlight can be pretty hard to deal with. We're glad that Sep. weather has cooled down a bit and sunlight is not that harsh over the head!
